MLV Plastering & Renovations

These Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern all services provided by MLV Plastering & Renovations (“we”, “us”, “our”). By engaging our services, you (“the Client”, “you”) agree to these terms.

1. Our Services

  • We provide plastering, rendering, renovation, and related building services across the North West of England.

  • All works are carried out to industry standards and in accordance with applicable UK regulations.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw services if site conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.

2. Quotations & Estimates

  • All quotations are free of charge and valid for 30 days from issue.

  • Quotations are based on information provided and site inspections. Any unforeseen work or changes requested may result in additional charges.

  • Estimates are indicative only and subject to adjustment once full requirements are agreed.

3. Booking & Deposits

  • A deposit may be required to secure a booking, especially for large-scale projects.

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Work will not commence until any required deposit is received.

4. Payments

  • Payment terms will be clearly stated on your invoice.

  • Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due within 7 days of invoice date.

  • We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue balances in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • If you wish to cancel or reschedule work, you must provide at least 7 days’ notice.

  • Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice may incur charges for costs already incurred (materials ordered, labour reserved, etc.).

6. Client Responsibilities

  • The Client must ensure reasonable access to the property and working area.

  • The Client must obtain any required permissions, approvals, or building control notices before work commences (unless otherwise agreed).

  • Any belongings or furniture should be moved or protected by the Client before work begins.

7. Materials & Workmanship

  • All materials supplied by us remain our property until paid for in full.

  • We guarantee workmanship for a period of 12 months from completion, unless otherwise stated.

  • Natural settlement, minor cracking, or movement in plaster/render is not considered a defect.

8. Liability

  • We hold relevant public liability insurance.

  • We are not liable for pre-existing issues, structural defects, or consequential loss caused by factors outside our control.

  • We take reasonable care to minimise disruption, but dust, noise, and minor inconvenience are unavoidable during renovation works.

9. Health & Safety

  • We operate in line with UK Health & Safety regulations.

  • The Client must not interfere with or endanger workers, tools, or equipment on site.

10. Complaints

  • In the event of a concern, please contact us immediately.

  • We aim to resolve complaints promptly and fairly.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
